Heidi the Miniature Dachshund

About me

I am Heidi, an infinitely cute Miniature Dachshund from Wigan where I live and keep several humans as pets. During the day I am acting CEO, COO and DOG of Pet Nurse Services Wigan where I'm in charge of a bunch of well-meaning, but terribly disobedient humans.

I may be small, but I consider myself to be the top-dog around here. I'm pretty fierce too! Just recently I barked for almost two days straight at an invader in the garden. It turned out to be the shadow of a tree, but they will sing songs about how long I managed to maintain my barrage of anxiety.

Heidi's experience

Now that I am almost 3 years old, I can look back on a long career of being top-dog at Pet Nurse Services. I have put up with all kind of human nonsense, but always seems to end up with a treat. Some of my most notable accolades include:

• Successful raising of the alarm for over 37,000 attacks on our territory by evil postmen and Amazon delivery drivers
• Winner of the 'Dog vs Bee' fighting championship of 2022 - I ate the bee, which in turn gave me anaphylactic shock, but the bee didn't know about my loyal team of veterinary humans who ensured I took the crown, and remain undisputed owner of the entire garden.
• Escape Artist! Having being startled on a walk from a human on wheels, I successfully made my escape and bolted away from all humans. I then traversed 3 main roads, 2 side roads and a park to get my own way back to the front door, where I discovered a postman trying to break in! I frightened and traumatised the postman for a few minutes until my humans came running up with relief on their faces that I managed to catch the postman before any harm was done.

In my spare time I enjoy barking, anxious walks around the park, playing tug-of-war, and barking. I don't enjoy unexpected noises, nail clips, stairs, or any kind of rain!
